SSC Kenya is accredited by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) as a certified precious metals testing laboratory. Our accreditation confirms that our testing methodologies, equipment calibration, and reporting procedures meet national and internationally recognised standards for analytical laboratories.

All testing conducted at SSC Kenya follows internationally recognised methodologies including XRF (X-ray Fluorescence), fire assay cupellation, and acid testing protocols. Our laboratory procedures are aligned with ISO/IEC 17025 — the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories — ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and traceability of all results.

SSC Kenya maintains a robust AML and Know Your Customer (KYC) programme in compliance with the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (POCAMLA). All clients undergo identity verification before any testing engagement. We report suspicious activity to the Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) as required by Kenyan law.

We operate in full compliance with the Mining Act 2016, the Kenya Revenue Authority regulations, and applicable Capital Markets Authority guidelines as they relate to precious metals testing and certification. All laboratory operations, client records, and test certificates are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.

SSC Kenya is committed to responsible laboratory practice. We adhere to the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. Our client onboarding process includes source verification, and we do not provide testing services for gold that cannot be traced to a legitimate, legal origin.

All client information, sample data, and test results are treated with strict confidentiality. SSC Kenya does not share client data with third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law or regulatory reporting obligations. Our data handling practices comply with applicable Kenyan data protection legislation.
